Mainly used in North American English, if somebody’s talking lots ofgibberishgobbledegook, and poppycock, they may be trying todiscombobulate (verb) another person. You may feel a little discombobulated(adjective) by all these strange words!

It’s been used since the mid 19th century, and is mainly used in a funny way.
